Kate Westbrook – Earth Felt the Wound

Kate Westbrook is a well-known figure in the history of London Jazz. She is highly regarded for her singing. She combines contemporary jazz with dramatic performance. Married to one of Britain’s most unique and respected composers, Mike Westbrook, she expertly blends jazz with complex harmonies. I had the good fortune to have been involved throughout the making of Earth Felt The Wound, recorded in a variety of locations and mixed and mastered by Jay Auborn (JSEF) and Kris Burton in dBs Recording Facilities in Bristol. I must emphasise the importance of the song Storm Petrell, which I recorded, mixed and mastered myself, following the Assistant Engineer tradition that still exists in the UK.
